911RECRUITING VOLUNTEERS 9-1-1

Have you ever wanted to have a career helping your community but didn’t know where to start? Mason County Emergency Communications (MACECOM), your local 9-1-1 dispatch center, is currently accepting applications for their Reserve Academy. This is a volunteer 12 week, 2 nights a week 6pm to 10pm program that will teach you the ins and outs of emergency call taking and dispatching. Macecom employees have been very active in the community. We have developed 9-1-1 educational presentations and have participated in several events throughout the year, as well as given presentations to the public and civic groups.

Macecom works collectively and dispatches with all Law, Fire and EMS (Emergency Medical Services) for all of Mason County. Together, our agencies collaborate to ensure public safety. Macecom is the PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) for Mason County Washington (commonly called the 911 Center).
