COMMUNICATIONS RESERVE OFFICER (9-1-1 Call Taker)
Academy Summary: MACECOM is recruiting for their Communications Reserve Academy. Eligible candidates will successfully complete all portions of the assessment process and will be placed on an eligibility list that will be used to fill the academy class positions.


Reserves answer 9-1-1 and other emergency and non emergency telephone systems in a multi-jurisdictional dispatch center and perform a wide variety of computer transactions and records functions.


Salary & Benefits: This is a volunteer non paid position.


Experience and Training Requirements:
~ Two years of experience working with the public in a high-volume, customer-service environment where you provided detailed information and assisted with solving problem preferred. (9-1-1 experience is not required.)
~ Proficient and accurate keyboard skills of 45 - wpm is preferred.
~ Basic familiarity with personal computer and Windows based applications.
~ Successful applicants must pass background investigation and may be required to complete a psychological exam and/or pre-employment drug screen.


Other necessary requirements:
~ Work requires a normal range of hearing, speaking ability, and vision.
